The FTD talk group is run by Jonathan Rohrer. We are based at the Dementia Research Centre at the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology in the UK. We are a group of clinicians and scientists dedicated to improving the lives of people and families affected by FTD. If you have any questions about FTD please contact us:

We believe in open science. Our posters and publications are available to view either directly on the website or via a link. If these are not working please contact us and we would be happy to send you a copy of our latest work.

To keep up to date with our work follow our blog on this website or follow us:

If you are looking to be assessed for the possibility of FTD, or already have a diagnosis of FTD and are concerned about a genetic cause, then the Cognitive Disorders Clinic at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London, accepts referrals from general practitioners within England (and other parts of the UK with local permission). Dr Rohrer is also able to see people in Queen Square via a direct referral to j.rohrer@ucl.ac.uk. If you do not live within the UK we can help to direct you to your local FTD specialist around the world.

If you are from a family with known genetic FTD we are happy to meet with you in our monthly familial FTD research clinic to discuss issues around genetic counselling, research studies and upcoming trials. Please contact genfi@ucl.ac.uk in order to book an appointment. We also accept referrals from clinical genetics clinics.

We thank the Bluefield Project for their support in helping to fund the development of this website.

In terms of information included in the website about clinical trials, Dr Rohrer has performed paid consultancy and medical advisory board work for Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Biogen, Alector, Wave Life Sciences, Aviado Bio, UCB, Denali, Novartis and Prevail Therapeutics.
