On the 7th September 2020 five members of our team took part in a fundraising event to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK. Adam Smith from the Dementia Researcher website organised a ‘chatathon’ where he spoke to over 50 researchers over a continuous 12 hour period about the current status of dementia research.

Lucy Russell, Martina Bocchetta, Aitana Sogorb Esteve, Mica Clarke and Imogen Swift from our team spoke for 45 minutes about our current research and future plans. The recorded video is here to rewatch if you are interested:

Please do help Adam meet his fundraising target of £5000 – you can donate on the ‘chatathon’ website: https://chatathon.uk.

Our team will be speaking again as part of the FTD Awareness Week run by World FTD United. On the 3rd October we will be taking part in the 2020 World FTD Marathon – Around the Globe in 24 hours.

Please tune in to hear our team talk about international collaboration in FTD research and how we develop and use biomarkers in our research. We will be live from 9.30am UK time.
